Saturday Night Fever

I love Saturday Nights, but than again there is also something about having enjoyed a Saturday evening so much that, I know I have to catch up with all the work that has piled up on Sunday. I always want to work on Saturday afternoons but end up just having a good time and today was no different. Had friends over for dinner tonight and the evening was spent getting ready. I hope I have a productive day tomorrow.

I somehow forsee an eventful rest of Spring and Summer. Lots of reasons some owing to my extended family visiting from India and others due to my upcoming Prelim defense. Ths upcoming year is also going to eventful neverthless, I just hope I am able to stick to my schedule to graduate in time.

Ok ... pray for me and keep your fingers crossed.

Life's persistent questions?

What do we want in life? aka what is one's life ambition?
How do we manage time?
How do we communicate our feelings?
How do we love someone?
How do we tell some one how much we appreciate their help?
How do we obtain happiness?
What is true happiness anyway?
Who is a true friend?
How can we satisfy our family and friends? (aka keep 'em happy)
How can we help other people?
How can we make a difference in someone's life?
How can we enjoy with what we have?

Just a few thoughts, I have been thinking today. I seem to be seeking a lot of answers, I probably know answers to most of these questions but I don't know if they are the right answers. One day when the final chapter will be written shall I know.

Spring Break

This is spring break week, life has slowed a bit. The rush from submitting my prelim proposal has subsided. Its only the calm before the storm though since I know I have to prepare for the final defense very soon (Scheduled it for the 31st March).
I have been "blog surfing" quite a bit of late. I keep wondering where I have been the past few years, of course it is not like my blog would have made a difference. However, I wish I had cemented my own thoughts for posterity. I am impressed with a number of blogs. I am a frequent visitor of the www.indianmbaleague.blogspot.com I have been following some of the blogs quite frequently. It is indeed interesting to note that there so many themes for candidates to right. Their experiences about getting to Grad school for MBA , life as a student etc. I guess I am a little too caught up with these MBA blogs but neverthless, having a theme for your blogs is essential for the blog to hold a readers attention.

I do not have a theme yet, I guess that is the beauty of being in a 'research' oriented setting where you have an ultimate goal but the path that leads to it is uncharted, atleast by others before, and you are by definition required to leave a new footprint. I hope I get to do just that.

Take care....
